Fairway Market Paramus NJ

So I went by this new Fairway Market that opening March 25th, As per the web site they appear to have a ton of tomatoes DOP for the WFO and some Great cheese  Fresh Mozz never refrigerated (pull cheese) made from Bufalo NY Curd. and like 400 kinds of olive oil. Curious Has Anybody been to one of these stores in NYC or is it just a hyped up whole foods? They seem very passionate about their products

Every time I visit New York I stop at the H. Hudson Pky Fariway Market and buy a huge load of oils and cheeses.  Not only does it have the best oil selection of any retail store I have ever been to, but their mozzarella is excellent and the prices on everything are some of the lowest I have found.  You are very lucky if you have one near you!

Man are you in for a treat! Fairway is the best. World class prime dry aged beef & other great meats, hundreds of cheeses,  unbelievable olives, great produce, the freshest seafood and terrific baked goods.  There really is no other market like it.  Blows Whole Foods away.

OK so now I AM getting excited The "whole paycheck" store is about the same distance for me, and it alll hyped up, not a really big fan of them. Does any one know if they have a high gluten/ protien flour? I know theres plenty of tomatoes to pick from too!

The one on Long Island doesn't. They do have fresh yeast.

YEAH HA!
What a place!! You were all right! I am lucky to have this place within 10 Min of my house
I went today the day after the grand opening just to poke around it was a mad house! and I was happily overwhelmed    from the 100's of olive oils Yes 100s to the cheeses, to the tomatoes, And everything else beyond Pizza. Meat (cows hanging there!) Fresh breads the smell almost gave me heart palpitations  the produce The cheese section is beyond belief! Making fresh Mozz all day!
Heres a few shots cant wait to shop there. I have a lot of testing to do on those 15 kinds of Italian Plum Tomatoes 28 oz Lavelle San Marzanos  2 Bucks !!

I was just at the Fairway Market on 74th and Broadway last weekend, across from the Beacon theater.
Great store, would love to have one by my house (read this as 30-40 minutes).  The meat counter was awesome, the cheese, olives, and tomatoes looked great as well.  However, I was searching for HG Flour, Escalon or Stanislaus Products, or Grande cheeses.  Didn't see any.  I did have breakfast at the store on Sunday morning , a cafe just above the store.  It was one fine meal!

This Place has SO many imported tomatoes, It will take me all summer to try them all
These are first up I picked em up the other day the WFO Margheritas are preparing to come back

I was right there in the parking lot of Fairway, Its next to Best Buy I was looking for a ipad gizmo. So I said to myself , self why don't we go in for a nice salad and just stay away from the tomato aisle. yeah Right !
Think I have tried most but very happy to see a large (last) can of the Carmelina Those stick out as being very good last time I tried them. The  pecking order Prob would be  Carmelina, scalfani, sinatra (ciao) la fede, san marzano, and yet to try the Merro ? anyone?
