Well, I may have lost my gourd, but last night i bought a can of Wally tomatoes from our first ever Wal-Mart that opened this week. The label says they are crushed packed in puree. The price, a stagering 88 cents. Might try it on a Chicago.

They are good to have if you run out of 6-in-1. I do let them drain for for about 10-15 minutes though.

I think I will try a long slow cook which is really a long warming to reduce the water. Maybe I should drain them first as you suggested DKM.
