Wow ... I'm just getting amazingly interested in building one of these. I would like to integrate a chimney, but can't quite make out the method used on the earlier post. What if a person just left out two bricks when filling in the angle iron for the ceiling. Then, as you added the next two courses, just leave the opening above that hole. I think a person could even make a bit of a slot for a piece of sheet metal to slide in horizontally from the front to act as a sort of damper. Thoughts from anybody on this?
Also, I think I would stack the cinder blocks in a square shape so that I could stagger the joints on the way up to give them more strength. Then a center wall would also go in to provide support for the 2x2' pavers.
