Yep.

The marinated kind.

The method was as follows: Take out of jar, put on pizza.

Bake.

Eat.

I also sometimes use the marinated artichoke hearts, but first I drain them and chop them a little.  I tried them straight from the jar but the chunks were too big and the pizza was too oily.

I'm trying them tomorrow. there canned in brine. Hey its worth a try. they use them in Italy, meat pizzas are expensive.

Artichokes in brine are quite acidic & tend to add a vinegary taste to the pizza, even if you dry them out.  Artichokes marinated in olive oil are a much better choice.

I have to agree with Matt...

If you have canned 'chokes you are wanting to use, it would probably be better to put them in a pasta salad where the vinegar flavor would be welcomed, rather than on a pizza where the flavor might not.

I love artichokes on pizza but I never use marinated artichokes.

i use the marinated kind for convenience.  i drain and dry them of the oil they're packed in, and then brown them in a pan.  and then on the pizza.  one of my favorite toppings.

I too made the mistake of buying the wrong marinated artichokes.  It absolutely ruined the pizza.  I threw them away.  I was told that you can buy them frozen.  Anyone try frozen?

Drain and quarter it is what I do.
Italian sausage, artichoke hearts, shallots, garlic, and capers.

I only use artichokes on my pizza for certain friends. I find them packed in water on occasion.  Twice when I have had Mexican friends over for pizza they pick the artichokes off. At close to $4.00 a can rather disconcerting. But so is putting ketchup on my pizza.

I finally found some canned artichokes that taste ok.  Only like 1.79 a can.

Trader joe's  has them packed in water with the stems.

This pizza I made was dressed with Les’s sauce, Parmesan cheese, Grande Flor-di-Latte fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes, artichoke hearts, red onions, and bacon.  After the pie was finished baking, I also used fresh baked, grated walnuts to sprinkle over the top of the pie.  There also was fresh basil placed on this pie.

If you can find frozen artichoke hearts saute them with some garlic and herbs of your choice. Much better than canned.

I agree. There is no comparison. The frozen hearts almost taste like an artichoke.
