What's with this crust? I just saw it on Slice.com and wondered if anyone here also thinks it looks a bit strange.

Art,
I think I see what you mean. The cornicione has a kind of ashen color to it. But if you look at the close up of the pizza in the picture below it, the crust has a more typical caramelized brown color to it.

It may be just the color on my screen, but that thing looks almost purple!
