Here in NJ and NY State we are experiencing a tomato blight.
Fellow gardeners, this tomato blight issue makes a good case for starting your
own seeds at home instead of purchasing the plants at risky places like home
depot, lowes or other large commercial places. I'm thinking that your local
nursery might be less susptible to this problem if they start the seeds
themselves, as opposed to shipping them in.
I start my seeds indoors in early March which allows me to have a greater
variety of tomatoes than are available at the local stores and nurseries.
That's always been my motivation, but now I can see how important it
is to avoid getting infections such as tomato blight.
