restaurant table and chairs to go follow up previous post
« on: September 10, 2009, 10:22:06 PM »
If any one was wondering what was in the background of the oven pics...they are my tables and chairs.  All I have to say is a lot of work to build your own oven, chairs and tables and not to mention the work that went into my complete business plan and incorporating the business.  I was convinced I would open my pizzeria but leases scared me off.. I thought I could secure a reasonable deal but after a year and a half of looking I decided it would be more logical to get a trade and save the pizzeria for when I am a lot older and have many years of experience or I may just keep it as a hobby.  I am ambitious as you can see by the work that I put into everything.. the business plan is personal to me so I can't share it but it is quite detailed and fine tuned and I am proud of it.  I sincerely respect Jeff Varasano, Anthony Mangieri, Chris Bianco and others that walked this road.  I just wish I had more time to make my pizzas and bake my bread.. ah life can be busy at times.

The pics aren't the best quality I really lowered the quality to get them to fit.. next time I will try and get them a little better.

Al,

As the old saying goes: Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

Wow, I bet those were a lot of work.  We stained (not built!) one table similar to yours, and it took us about 2 days!!  What will you do with them? hang onto them for the right time?

Where are you located?

I think for now I will hang onto them since everything is in storage, people have offered to buy some off me but I don't want to bother my friend to open up his storage to sell 4 chairs.  I really enjoyed the project and I did it with normal tools, i didn't have a wood work shop to use it was basically saws, sanders, router.. etc. out of the garage.  They are birch tables and the stain highlights the grain very nicely but its hard to see from the pics.. I used 5 coats of polyurethane on top of the stain. I love projects and this was a large undertaking but it was really enjoyable and frusterating at times, but I am glad I completed it.  I will probably eventually keep 10-15 chairs and some tables and sell off the rest.  I am in Vancouver, BC Canada.
