Hi - new here, want to make NY Style pizza at home, HELP!

Hi, so I just got back from an extended stay in NY and became obsessed with their pizza. Living in England, our pizza is pretty poor and there's absolutely nowhere that does anything like it! Therefore, I want help to make my own that, as closely as possible, compares to the quality I was eating in the US. (The type of pizza I'm looking for ideally is the sort that you can see in the top right hand corner of all these pages. Mmmm)

So, if anyone can introduce me to the ideal ingredients to make this type of deleicious pizza at home, i'd be very grateful!

In your case, since you live in the UK, you might want to use a strong white flour such as sold, for example, by Allison, Hovis, etc. One of our UK members, Robin, uses the French Type 55 flour for the NY style, as he discusses in this thread: http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,5826.msg49588.html#msg49588.
