Thai pizza, everyone turned their noses up on this one until they ate it, big big hit!
1. Mix peanut butter with Kona Coast Ginger Wasabi Teriyaki sauce, crushed red pepper flakes to taste.  This is the base, no cheese or tomato sauce.
2.  Went to my local Thai joint and bought  "MANGO PARADISE", chicken, fresh yellow mango, bell peppers, onions, water chestnuts, and cashew nuts.  (topping)(if you like another dish, use it.)
3. Served with  Gochujang red hot sauce, it's warm with hints of sesame oil and vinegar, it's wonderful.
Green onion tops and crushed peanuts finish after baking.  That's it.

The dough was Jeff Varasano's mixing recipe using Caputo 00 flour, filtered water and Ischia Sourdough starter with a 12 hour rise.  Done on a "2stone pizza grill" at about 750' to 800'

Very creative. The pie looks great and I'm sure it tasted even better.

As a follow up, I've tried other Thai dishes on pies but the "MANGO PARADISE" has been the best.  Something about that little bit of fruit really makes it.  Also don't overdue the peanut sauce, it can take over.

Side note;  I've tried, 'SPICY DUCK'    Roasted duck sautéed with bamboo shoots, onions, bell peppers, and spicy chili sauce then topped with crispy sweet basil leaves.
'PAD GINGER' 'Pad Khing' chicken stir-fried with shredded fresh ginger, onions, bell peppers, and shitake mushroom in bean sauce.

I love both Thai food and Pizza crust.  Together would just be a match made in heaven.   :chef:

Jackie Tran,

I wonder how a calzone would be stuffed with Thai goodies?  :chef:

I make a similar Thai pizza. Whenever my daughter comes to visit she demands it.

Yep, Several of my friends request my Thai pizza, well, except my Mexican friends.

I make a Thai pizza...Peanut butter thinned with oil, and Sambal sauce and sugar, spread on pizza dough, add leftover chicken, top with Monterrey Jack...bake...add final topping of chopped green onion.

This topic has been asleep a while, but thought I would post my Thai Chicken pizza pics

I use a Chicago style thin and crackery crust, and I do make my own Thai Peanut sauce for both the base and to coat the chicken pieces (use thigh meat not chicken breast as it can handle cooking and then the recook on the pizza). The recipe for the peanut sauce can be found on http://www.shesimmers.com. I top it with the cooked chicken chunks (about 3/4" to 1" cubes) crushed peanuts and mozzarella and into the oven. when it comes out throw shredded carrots, fresh cilantro and bean sprouts.

This weekend I am going to try to add a more traditional topping after it comes out of the oven, fresh thinly sliced jalapenos, lightly pickled cucumbers cut into matchstick thickness, thinly sliced lightly pickled shallots, and cilantro.

Try some 'Mae Ploy' sauce in your works.  It is a staple of Thai cooking, a sweet chili garlic sauce of sorts.  I use it in and on lots of things.
