tasty (unusual) toppings for a NY pie

Wasn't sure how unusual people get with their toppings here, but the other day I was in Queens and had some fabulously interesting (yet seemingly conventional) toppings.  Eggplant Parm Pie - standard sauce and mozz, with thin bitesize pieces of breaded & fried eggplant & "blobs" of fresh ricotta on top.  Lasagna Pie (no pasta involved) standard sauce and mozz with spoonfuls of a thick meat sauce and fresh ricotta.  Worth trying at home - off the charts good!
