I go to Northern California once or twice each year and one of the things I have to do while there is hit Pizza My Heart. It's one of my favorite pizza places and living in Michigan, I crave it even more because I can't just order one anytime I'm in the mood.
I've scoured the internet for any bit of info I can on their pizza and have spent numerous evenings trying to replicate their basic pepperoni pizza based on memory.

Is there anyone here on this forum that has any knowledge of this small pizza chain? They're located from Santa Cruz to San Francisco. There's another small chain of restaurants called Mary's Pizza North of San Francisco that is very similar.

Thanks in advance!

This was one of my haunts in Santa Cruz! It's quite good, though I'd usually just get their slices. They par-cook the pizza, then slice, then re-heat for the slices (at least they used to). It's pretty much NY style dough as I remember. They had a pretty solid Margherita with some kind of asiago-ish cheese on there in addition to Mozz and big slices of tomato. I'm trying to remember what their dusting flour was ... semolina or some corn meal in there. I'll try to stop by there and report. Regarding Mary's Pizza, I'm not a big fan. Have only been there a handful of times, and wasn't real impressed.
