What yeast are you using Wayne and was it in date?  The SAF yeast I use is instant.

Here's something that makes a big difference:

Use bottled (non-chlorinated) water when making dough. The chlorine in city water will kill some of the yeast.

Thanks Randy, I am very glad that I found Steve's Site and having joined the Forum. Europe has it's nice corners but it's not home.

I'm happy that you enjoyed the tomatoes. It's funny to see the picture of that can that I sent you... it had a long journey!
