Store in the fridge overnight.  Press out to 1/8" thick or so and cut into smaller pieces.  Deep fry then sprinkle with cinammon sugar and top with lemony cream cheese icing.

We used a technique of quickly flipping the pieces several times while frying that produced an even perimeter of fried dough with an open interior.   Amazingly light and tasty!!

Those look really good bradtri and I'll definitely try out your recipe.  On the rare occasion I fry leftover dough, I just roll the pieces in granulated sugar. So simple yet so good. There is definitely something special about pairing a savory dough with a sweet topping. Fried dough stuffed with gelato is also on my to-try list.
