Basil Powder

I just caught a clip of Daniele Uditi from Pizzana in LA, where he's making his "Neo Margherita" pizza, which is a fior di latte base, then post-bake san marzano tomato reduction, basil powder + basil oil.

Anyone have any experience with the basil powder? I assume it's either freeze-dried then ground to a powder?

no experience, but i have lighthouse freeze-dried basil and i have a blade grinder
