Yep, this did the trick for me.  Nice crispiness and just enough crunch for my taste (before/after photos if I got the attachment order correct.)

For anyone with a Lloyd's PSTK pan, can you tell me if olive oil beads on the surface of the coating or can it be spread around evenly?

Oil beads, which can be eliminated by thin base-layer of crisco. I use a folded piece of paper towel to apply it - a very small amount, say, 1/4 t for a 14x14" pan - just enough to create a sheen.

Thanks for the info Nano. Do you or anyone have any idea what the PSTK might be? I bought a Lloyd pan on ebay recently and I think it might have this coating.
