Nice video, though I am not sure why they say the new one has a safety feature.

Unfortunatelly I still haven't received mine yet. The shipping service provider messed up and forwarded that mixer to a wrong address. It should now hopefully arrive end of this week or latest beginning of next week. Mrs. Candy really was a huge help and pusher her agent to organize the return transport, sent me regular updates etc.

The new locking mechanism indeed seems to be more convenient to use, as the lever arm is always accessible no matter if the protective grid is opened or closed. It also appears to be more solid. I hope that they didn't have any issues with the robustness of the old version, which I will receive shortly.

The downside of the new version in my opinion clearly is the removal of the safety feature. I assume it should be quite easy to remove the interlock from the old version if it annoys you.
At least this is the case with other spiral mixers. You just need to open the top cover, unplug the sensor and bridge the cables.
Whereas it will most likely be very challenging to retrofit an interlock to the new version.

I bought the 5L tilting unit (110V/60Hz) from Ms Candy yesterday. $510 USD which included the 110V/60Hz customization + shipping, which was another $180 for sea shipment (60 days) or $350 express (7 days). I took the express shipment. Hoe to get by end of year!

I might get to it before you do, it's on the continent, due for delivery on December 3rd.

I have received mine, didn't need to pay any taxes or customs, and am happy with it so far.

Nice !
I'd be surprised if it was the same for France, but we'll know soon

What are you guys going to do when these things start breaking at some point in the future, which is bound to happen, and you need parts? I'd be surprised if the company still exists when the time comes.

I'd be curious how much freight is and how long to get a replacement part, if I had to wait 60 days for a part so that the freight is reasonable I wouldn't be happy.

Idk, seems like a pricey disposable mixer to me, hopefully I'm wrong.

Inhale pizza, exhale negativity.

Pizza Party Emozione, Pizza Party Bollore, Halo Versa 16 ready for duty!

Good point, I like this spiral mixer because it has a removable mixing bowl.  The Kys pro baker easy 5 only comes in 220v (removable bowl version), which is very annoying lol.

Why would it be less quality than Famag, and other brand ? Sure they're new, sure, they come from China, but that doesn't mean bad if the company is serious enough to build it right.

They look sturdy to me ! I didn't push the limit of my 7+ KYS, since I don't need that much dough at a time, but I'm not worried at all.
I think it'll last forever for personal amateur use.  Might question this more if I was a pro running it everyday

I'd be more worried with the new one and it's digital rotation wheel, but I believe I saw the part for it somewhere

Right now, RevoBake friend's are promoting it over KYS, claiming Kys has issues.
Yet, there isn't any single proof of issues, no recording whatsoever, only text... No pics/video... only BS.

The sad part is that some people will fall for it (Revo is surely the same and same quality as KYS). Same designer KYS has before, why would this people claim Revo is better, when they order from the same designer ? If Kys had issue, why would they follow it's maker ? Doesn't make sense to me
Also, where did they hear about Revo when it doesn't seem to have any advertising plan, doesn't seem to be on social networks other that this few people, that all had issue at the same time with Kys...

Received this on fb the other day :
QuoteThere were 14 machines, 110v, to test the US market.  They were manufactured at a crappy factory the owner had a contract with
Around the same time the owner contracted with Stigs factory to design and improve these machines and build them
Stig was also now responsible for logistics and shipping
These 14 machines came to him.  He didn't make them.  He inspected them and were horrible so he started to rewire and fix them all.
He fixed all of them some completely some partially because the owner wanted them shipped to Norway immediately so he could sell them
That was the old KYS Norway site those 14 were sold on
Stig created a new kYS website to sell the machines he was making
So when this person had issues after a year, again it wasn't Stigs machine, she's been contacting the owners website and he asked for a video and every since hasn't replied ever again
So be careful what you say when you don't know the truth and what's going on.
Worth what it's worth, 14 Machines doesn't sound like much ?
Why don't this people with issue post it on Trustpilot and other sites? With actual pics/video ?
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/kysnorway.com

Idk what happened between them, but I don't like one not being fairplay, and don't trust the few bad review I can see w/o proofs

The mechanical parts of the tilt-head spiral mixers from China appear to be rock solid and I have absolutely no fear that one of the shafts or gears could fail.
The timing belts have their sizes imprinted so they could most likely be sourced elsewhere in Europe or the US if the chinese supplier doesn't provide a proper after sales service. However my experience with other parts I bought from China in the past is quite the opposite. The customer service is extraordinary good and the prices are fair. There are quite a lot of people who complain about the customer service of Famag, especially if you have bought a used machine and are not the first owner.
The bearings are difficult to exchange, but given the usual operation hours per year for non-professional use as a home baker, they should last very long.
The only part I am really a bit worried about is the electric control unit. If that fails you are really dependent on the chinese supplier, or you may end up with a single-speed machine by directly wiring the drive to the power plug.
In any case I would only recommend buying a spiral mixer from China for people who can help themselves and are willing to replace parts on their own rather then sending the mixer back to China for repairing, which would be absolutely uneconomic.

the new version in the video above sure looks like the Revobake one. sounds like they make the 110v to order. I got an email and read production time for this is 20 days from when they receive payment. I got quoted $510 plus $204 for 60 day shipping and $380 for 7 days but not including taxes into USA. I think I will keep with what I have until more feed back from US users.

Sent a inquiry with the website. Does this get you in contact with Ms. Candy?
Candy is from Guanghzhou Sawish, this is Guangzhou Zhibao. Her name is Elsie if I remember correctly. They both seem to sell the same mixer.

Thanks for the details.

This is the txt on WhatsApp that I received from Elsie at Guangzhou Zhibao.  I have a feeling I might pull the trigger considering the cost and that the spiral mixer has a removable bowl which is what I am looking for.  Just want to give it a little time to make a final decision.

I need to confirm if that is in CAD and not USD.  Elsie did mention shipping to Canada in the quote.

I'm looking for one of these from Canada as well. There's one available on Alibaba Express for $1300 CAD w/free shipping, but your quoted price is much better, assuming it is in CAD. So I'm interested to hear your update. Also, any idea what she means by "special motor"? Is it some sort of upgrade?

I think what she means by "special motor" is that it is a 110v version.  The currency in the quote she gave me is in USD.

I didn't place an order yet because of the Canada Post strike, but she did mention other shipping options, DHL, UPS and Fedex.

This is the conversation I just had with Elsie, I'm a little concern when I asked how the package is going to be shipped when it arrives to Canada (Canada Post or courier).  I don't know if she was avoiding the question or if it was just a language barrier.  Was she initially going to have the package shipped and see what happens lol?  Say if the strike is still going and my mixer is sitting there at Canada Post or possibly lost. Thanks :-D

We eventually synced, and she mentioned the other shipping options, DHL, UPS and Fedex.

Hmm... so ambiguous. I can't work out if she's saying those other options will continue to carry the package the rest of the way after it arrives in Canada, or if she just doesn't know. I hope that strike ends soon. Even after conversion to CAD, it's a good price for such a solid looking unit.
