Jawn does sourdough Detroit-ish style pizza in a toaster oven

Jet's pizza sells Detroit style. It's sauce is not on top, uses Mozz, and no "00" flour, The only connection to the style is they use the right pans -on a conveyor type cooker oven, yet they are still in business, JuSayin'.  ;D

Yeah, that's actually how most squares are in the area, especially with smaller businesses.

A lot of places like Buddy's and Cloverleaf (and some recent like DSPC and VIA313) do it the original way and ladle the sauce over it, but the Jet's way is more common.

There's different styles of "Detroit Style" with small differences that don't stray too far from the original, so this hangup about authenticity is kind of silly, especially when Jawn's peetz was pretty accurate given what he had to make it with.

Nice frico on those corners, btw. Looks good
