Saputo plans call for US plant closings

This article says the closures are going to increase EBITDA by $100M on top of the $145M increase from the previous closures. They must have had a crazy big overcapacity.

It'll be a very sad day if I can no longer source Saputo.  All the other cheeses at Restaurant Depot are a significant step down.

No.  It's either their house brand (Supremo something or other) and maybe Bel Gioso.

Not at mine either. Luckily, a GFS just opened near my house, and they have Grande. Not sure for how long though. I don't think they understood how inexpensive groceries are in Houston and have pretty much priced themselves out of the retail market. I don't think I've ever seen more than one or two people in the store.

That's a bummer.  I also hear that they source their supremo Italiano from different companies depending on what part of the country the store is located.
