I fly into Newark fairly often to visit a customer of mine near Princeton, NJ. I've done a few dedicated pizza crawls around NYC and the surrounding areas, but most places are the opposite direction I need to go.
THIS is my "Pizza Map" of places that were recommended to me, and I've gone to most. I've probably gone to Paulie Gee's in Brooklyn the most. This was one of my first introductions into Neapolitan pies and I haven't been the same since. I've yet to try Paulie's new slice shop nearby, but will do so one of these days. For thin crust pizza slices, I've been to Pizza Town in Elmwood Park, NJ a number of times as well and would highly recommend.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for Pizza near or between EWR and Princeton?

Thanks!
Jon

I was actually there when we lived in Bridgewater back in the olden times. I recall liking it, but I can't remember anything else. There was a lack of good food near us.

Just a little more south is Marcello's in Bordentown..more restaurant/bar than pizza shop...quite good tbough under pizza radar.

Thanks guys, those spots have some solid reviews. I have added them all to my Pizza Map. De Lorenzo's Tomato Pie's is closest to where I will be staying in Cranbury and I will be checking it out tonight . DeLucia's looks legit as well, and it would be nice to hit on the way back, but time and stomach capacity wise, I'll probably have to try their pizza another time. Any good slice shops along the 95 or close enough to make a detour on my return trip worth it?

Yup...these guys make a good slice. About 12 miles from Princeton and a short ride back over to 95 aka NJ Turnpike. Christo's Pizza and Grill in North Brunswick. Tell Mike that the pizza fanatic who.moved to Oregon sent you :-D
