i wanted a smaller one from the beginning but they were not available on the tilted version last year hence had to buy a 10L one. so this time i got this one as its seems to be perfect for my needs.

the link above shows the cheaper price. also the prices of these mixers are around 100 bucks max to manufacture so you can definitely bargain with the vendors. they are selling for 7 times the cost at least lol

Thanks for the link!
Theyre out of the stock now (there was only 1 right around when you posted your comment) but I was curious what method you used to pay for it? Back when there was 1 left, after going through the payment process at the very end I was hit with a sudden $45 tax and then a $20 'international payment processing fee' that can only be waived by choosing to wire transfer. $45-$65 is a nasty amount of money to hide at the end and with all extra fees it ended up ~$707 total instead of the ~$640 I was expecting so I bowed out.

Okay, I see the break down now.

$707 sounds right, I paid $695 to my door back on December 10, 2024.  I remember a price increase was coming back then.

I want to eat pizza every day.

Glad it's working out! I knew it would be fine. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
🤣

So what the verdict, have you decided on something?

I don't think it matters where you get this mixer from.
I read that when you order from China, it's the same dude and warehouse in the videos and pics. Maybe the brands are just different sale reps/dealers who knows lol.

KY and Revo are just dealers.  Also there's a little buzz from a Revo fan boy(🤔😂)? He mentioned that Vito's mixer is assembled in Italy with Chinese parts, I would like to know more about that lol.  Also is Revo's mixer a Chinese mixer with Italian parts? 🙃

Anyways, I'm just going to chill with my new Ooni Karu 24 max and ZBX spiral mixer. I'm good. Good luck!

Ooni Karu 24 Max - $788.91 USD
Ooni Large Modular Table - $232 USD
Etsy Pizza Door - $75.96 USD
ZBX Spiral Mixer w/Removable bowl - $695 USD

You just had to plant that seed haha?

All this funny 🐇 🕳 stuff going here for the past couple of months has been great. There was even romper room behaviour over pizza peels (that was classic) 🤣

Do you have one and notice a difference?  Fresh milled pizza flour spells flavor town to me lol!

I'm serious...that sounds delicious...fresh milled flour to make fresh baked pizza dough. It's sinking in me right now...the pizzas that would make.

Seriously, freshly milled flour can be fantastic. I use it for most of my bread. But none of my attempts in pizzas had good results. When you could taste a difference, it wasn't an improvement.

Thank you, I appreciate the details.  Time to enjoy the fruits of my labor lol 🍕

All my bread and pizza is now fresh milled. I don't purchase any flour. The challenge IMO is to forget what you previously knew as pizza crust and move on to the thought that the crust is the star attraction and the toppings are along for the ride.

I like adding freshly milled flour to my dough. I have a tendency to use it like I use fish sauce. When it is added in the correct amount, it is not obvious that it is there, but you somehow know that it is better.

I also like to match the flavor profile of the added flour to the toppings. I've found plenty of combinations that don't work. The best way that I can describe it is that the crust becomes a distraction from the overall pizza balance.

One thing to keep in mind is that dough made with freshly milled flour can handle dramatically different than that made from commercially processed flour. Commercial flour is engineered to be consistent and easy to handle. Fresh flour can be a nightmare if you push it too far. However, most times it is well worth the effort.

My priority is to get the Karu 24 Max this summer, but I might be out of a job soon so I need to limit any frivolous spending. Also I switched to a spiral hook for my KA mixer and it's been a game changer. It's obviously not as good as a spiral mixer, but yeah, hard to justify the cost right now for a single purpose item, so I'll continue to lurk and live vicariously through you lucky spiral mixer owners. If providence strikes and I get a giant bonus instead of getting laid off, then it might be back on the table.

Priorities first as always.... No rush brother, just wondering because it seems like your good at making choices.  Thanks for boosting my morale when I felt like I made a mistake, I hate taking/accepting a loss.

Thank you kind Sir Chopsalot. I envy your courage to break new ground for the rest of us. I was suspicious of the way those Revo shills were acting right from the start, and it seemed highly unlikely for the "Norwegian" units to be much different than the Alibaba units. It's not that complex of a machine to require souped up production. Also for the detractors about ordering from China, I've done so many times and have been satisfied. North Americans make such a big stink about ordering from China, it borders on xenophobia. I built a great electric bike working with a Chinese company, and they were so incredibly patient answering all of my questions and sending parts when I needed them. It's still good to be cautious, but ZBX has good communication and doesn't seem like a fly-by-night company.

Unfortunately it takes me so long to make these decisions, and now if I'm reading the thread correctly, the price has gone up! So it may be an even longer while before I make a decision, but I'll keep lurking and maybe something will come up.

It's quite funny or are they just Revo spiral mixer fan boys :-D ::)

Many things are made in china these days, so what a surprise, they decided to copy/clone things lol.

For example, during COVID, I got into the audiophile hobby.  I also found out my U.S brand speakers are made in China now.

I have 2 subwoofers, one made in the U.S, one made in China that I just purchased and to my surprise guess who won in performance?  At first, I thought, I'm selling this, there's no way.  Why did I listen to my buddy? Been testing this subwoofer for the past week and the numbers don't lie.  Now, I've decided to keep an eye open for legit Chinese manufacturers.

USA has brand recognition though, which I see would be hard to compete with, people love having brand names.

Sounds like a fun DIY project for the summer.  Thanks.

This would be great to pick up last minute ingredients during a backyard pizza gathering.  I'm sure people would be willing to do runs for you lol.
