Hey all,

I'm pretty new to the forum so I don't know if this is the type of question anyone can answer, it's a little random.

I'll be opening up a small slice shop in Japan next month and I'm basically all set to go, but I have not been able to find paper bags that would be ideal for take-out slices.  I grew up in NY and every place there has paper bags that can accommodate one or 2 slices on plates but I can not for the life of me find these bags in Japan.  I'm even having trouble just finding out what the general measurements of such a bag would be.  If anyone has an idea of where to find something like this or an appropriate substitute, I would be eternally grateful.

Cheers!

Hi Seth,

I'm in Western Japan. Opening a Brooklyn style slice shop sometime this year. I also want to use paper bags for slices and larger bags for full pies (instead of boxes). Let's keep in touch !

I saw this awhile back on Instagram. I don't know if this is appropriate for the needs of either of you, but I thought this was an interesting idea.

Side note: Look at that cheese!

Dan-
That sounds good to me.  Sourcing materials out here is a chore, let's help each other!

Your Inbox is full...so replying here.

I talked to N. White, I know him on FB though we've never met. He said he's working as your pizza consultant. He recommended I look into Hamaya Coffee as a distributor for flour, cheese, etc. There website only shows coffee stuff though. Will have to call them.

So far, I'm just buying block Mozz. from AEON and canned whole tomatoes, then practicing making dough at home as we're a few months away from thinking about opening the restaurant (lots of renovation first).
I did order aluminum dough pans from Amazon USA though.
All part of the process !
