Pizza Girls (Palm Beach, FL)

Staff is friendly.  Environment is pleasant.  The bread was very good, a balanced mix of airiness, pliability and sturdiness.  The crust has a flakiness and overall taste which suggests a higher than average oil count. The sauce and cheese were good; the flavoring was very light (good for those who appreciate subtlety) but maybe it could've been more unique.  The pizza is very similar to New York pizza; this pizza is a tiny bit thicker and the crusts are larger (but thats not a downside at all).  Overall, one of the better pizzas I had in Florida.

One concern is the price.  It costs $4 for a slice; the highest I've seen.  Although their slices are very large (probably 50% larger than most slices you'll find), so it's not a bad value in that regard.  However, charging a high markup for drinks on top of it adds to the price.  The company uses specialty beverages which only use real cane sugar (rather than fountain soda), as if Bob Smith's Organic Pop is the answer to diabetes.

7/10
