Title: High wire act

I normally make six pizza doughs but I usually end up wasting 2 or 3 of them ( rare that my family will eat the left overs... although I do  ;D)

Anyway... I decided I was gonna cut things in half and only do 3 pies.  Nice plan for a Sunday evening.  

Well as luck would have it I dropped the first one... Never had that happen before but I was leaning over to grab a cutting board and it slipped right off the peel... DAMN >:D

Here are the other 2 though... they turned out pretty good

I've lost one off the peel too. I was putting it on the plate and the next thing I knew, it was upside down on the Garage floor.

They both look like pro pies. Very nice leoparding.

I have dropped a total of 6 pizzas over the last two years. All were dropped in the act of pulling them onto the peel from the marble. Very frustrating.

 cooked all night for others.  saved the last skin for me cooked it, turned the corner peel longer than the radius lost it. no pie for me >:(

Those look excellent.  Very professional!

I haven't dropped one yet.  I'm more likely to tear one while turning it and have a burning mess on the deck...

Thanks everyone... coming from all of you that is quite the compliment  :)

I was on a little shortened notice for pizza time but they seemed to work out OK.  I used ADY instead of my starter.  You definitely could tell the difference in the taste of the crust but for some reason the crust was more tender?  I was happy but could not figure why.  Oh well even a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while.... ;D

By the way Ev... I would have eaten that pie any day... floor or not :-D

Do you cook the chicken before putting on pie.. if so... how?   I'm gonna have to try that one

Well, I would have considered eating it anyway, but It was outside at a campsite. There was more than just a kitchen floor to deal with.

Yes, I grill mesquite marinated boneless chicken breast til almost done. I then cut it up and marinate some more with a little extra red pepper. The sauce is garlic alfredo.

I love these pies, especially the arugula!  Are those olives with the arugula or I'm just seeing things?

The last pie I dropped upside down was for my 5-yr old and you can imagine how mad he got because that was the last dough I had.

Was baking the last pie of the day on Kelly's inaugural Baltimore Farmer' Market stand.   I watched it like a hawk, had hungry people watching as I turned it, checked the underside, gave it another 20 seconds, then lifted the LBE dome, scooped the pie with the peel, and then, with all the finesse of a master lacrosse player, lobbed it 5 feet directly ahead and straight onto the ground. 

"OH SH_T" I said, and the hungry people just had this devastated lost-puppy look as they realized this culinary masterpiece was ant food.

Man Marlon... you have a sharp eye.  Those are actually chopped pistachios that I put on post bake with the arugula... Tasty.
