Maybe someone could check with the family and see if there was a favorite charity of his that we could make contributions to in his memory.

Best.... Steve

When Tom dropped off the forum a few months ago, we were all tense with worry and fearing the worst, but he came back. Ever since the news that Tom was battling Covid, I have been dreading every day that he was out. But recalling his robust personality and his love of the staff of life, I was confident he'd again recover and return to his family and to us, his huge extended family. Losing him and having to refer to him in the past tense is particularly cruel as it comes at the threshold of the vaccine's arrival. It's hard to see how we'll carry on without him, but I know he wants us to, and that he has left us a magnificent legacy to follow. His kindness and his impact upon us and the world of pizza are simply inestimable.

Rest in peace Tom. A huge hole in our pizzamaking community. I always read the Dough Doctor thread knowing there would always be helpful tidbits of knowledge.

I wish so much that we were all on the other thread celebrating news of Tom's recovery. I never met him, but his generosity with information and willingness to help people were very apparent in the years I've browsed these forums. He helped me by responding directly to questions I had for him, and by responding to the questions of others.

I am very saddened by this news and wish the best to everyone who is left mourning the loss of a good man.

It’s the true giants who possess so much kindness, humility, and eagerness to see skill and excitement grow in others. Thanks for all the lessons, doc. Teachers like him are rare and they set a hell of an example for the rest of us to try and follow. I hope his family knows how many hearts are with them right now.

Well done, Tom Lehmann. Rest in peace.

So sad to hear. Thanks for keeping the forum in the loop, Brian. I'd hoped Tom would beat this Covid thing.

Was very saddened to hear of Tom's passing.  Tom contributed so much to the pizza and baking world.  He was kind enough to help many people around the world and a lot of people here on the pizza forum.  I was only one of the people that learned so much from him, here on the forum and at the PMQ think tank.  Will be forever grateful for all Tom taught me.  Was also fortunate enough to meet Tom in Vegas.  Walter and I talked to him for awhile about many things.  Tom was the kind of man that anyone could learn a lot from and was a great teacher.

Condolences to Tom's family.

Thank you Brian for keeping us informed.

Rest easy Tom

Rest in peace Tom. I never asked him a question directly but learned so much from his responses to other questions.

A great gentleman who's shoes will never be filled again upon the earth.  Condolences to his family.  Though I never met him personally, I did have the pleasure of a few email exchanges with this great gentleman.  He will be missed indeed.
All the best, Dave
