PizzaParty Passione question
« on: May 09, 2017, 04:29:04 PM »
Hi all, I am new to this and want to get my first oven this summer. I am looking into the Passione but I have a question. Can you use natural gas with this oven or is it LPG only? I am going to run a natural gas line to my backyard and want to know if I can use it. If not, I will probably get the wood firing version of this oven.

Thanks!

I'd check with Pizza Party. It may be a simple matter to adapt it to NG. Even if not, I'd still get the gas option. You don't have to use it, but it's oh so sweet. It would be a shame not to have it if you ever changed your mind...

WHat is the output pressure of the LPG regulator that supplies the burner?

Thanks. Now I know that this is something you don't want to hear - but that SHOULD mean the LPG burner would work fine on NG with a different orifice size.

70,000 BTU on natural gas should be achieved with a 9/64" orifice on standard 7" WC Natural Gas. (natural gas is both at lower operating pressure than LPG, and ALSO less energy dense by volume).

Neato. I can't wait to get one and try (can always revert to LPG if it doesn't work).

Hi, did you ever get around to attempting this? I know nothing about natural gas adaptation from LPG, but the possibility intrigues me :)

Hi, thanks. I know the oven uses LPG and not natural gas; I was actually asking the previous poster whether he had found a way to adapt the oven's LPG fittings for use with natural gas. It can be done for barbecues in some cases, so was just wondering if he had found a way to do it for this oven or modify it.
