Dry culture storage
« on: April 07, 2022, 12:40:12 PM »
I've been thinking about how to store my cultures long term in case something were to happen to any of my mature cultures.  Has anyone tried or had good luck with the "crumble into dry flour" method mentioned here?  The cultures I've received online came in the form of a powder, so I assume it's a similar process.

Yes. Just smear some on a glass plate and let it dry. (I water mine down a bit first). Then flake it and store it.
