Since effeuno is not etl, ul, of nsf rated and cant be used in U.S. restaurants, are there any comparable products that dont require venting to outside like a cuppone tizziano.

I am wondering the same thing. I had my eyes on the new Effeuno Evelution line but then was informed by my health department that almost every equipment needs to be NSF or ANSI certified.

However, I have yet to send Effeuno an email for them to actually confirm that their oven is not NSF certified.

The only other option I can think of is the new Cuppone Mantegna, but it'll be certainly close to double the price of the Effeuno.

How is Black Rock Grill using and selling Effeuno in the USA if not approved?

He's referring to approved for use in foodservice/restaurants - in particular in an area with stupid, nonsensically strict codes.

Black Rock Grill is a restaurant chain which I assume is using them in house to heat rock platters.

Craig is correct..my county health department will only allow ovens with US based sanitation.markings. effeuno is only CE rated for europe.

I emailed blackrockgrill they confirmed, sadly.

It “might” be possible to get such a thing field certified. We run into this with UL listings on electrical equipment as much is now CE labeled… not wrong, and usually certified to a safety listing, just certified by someone else… a few inspectors want an actual certification and at least for electrical items there are options to field certify. I also ran into this issue with a medium sized coffee roaster… the assembly was not UL (or CE) certified and the electrical inspector was having a cow… there is a provision in the electrical Code that allows certain equipment to only have each component certified, not the whole assembly. Think about the SS counters…often not UL stamped and snickered as they are custom, they just have to meet the same design standards.

Of course each inspection despartment is different so YMMV.
