Cracked Stones
« on: May 16, 2004, 06:18:59 AM »
So far I've gotten all my pizza practice equipment off of ebay!  :D I just bought a baker's pride PS-22 counter top electric deck oven for 210! My question is the stones are cracked into 2 pieces, will this affect the way the pizza cooks? The whole stone is there but it just has a big crack down the middle.

As long as the two pieces are still together at the seam it is not likely that there will be any difference whatsoever.

I cracked a stone earlier this year. It worked for a while, but after sliding a few pies on it started to shift, then if I wasn't careful, the dough got caught in a crack, what a mess...
