That thin light white/grey crispy paper to line a nyc pizza box or serve a single slice...

what does the supply industry refer to this  kind of thing as?  was searching for it online and didn't come up with anything.

It's quite possible you won't find it online because it's probably a matter of business/personal preference.  I don't know of any pizza industry standard box liner.  However, the most common liner I see is a type of parchment paper.  I use parchment paper when I take pizzas on the road.  (I make my own boxes.)  Parchment paper can come in colors ranging from white to gray to brown.

abc,

Is it possible that you are thinking of pizza liners, such as described here: http://www.foodservicedirect.com/index.cfm/S/39/CLID/1528/N/87547/16X16_Pizza_Liner.htm?

Peter,

It's great that you found that, but I've never had a pizza delivered to me with that kind of liner.  Quite frankly I'm glad I haven't.  That's nasty.  Wax easily melts at the temperature pizzas come out of the oven at.

At the place I worked, they just used a "small" size baking paper which was the same stuff we used to cook the small pizza's on in the oven. It's referred to as a lot of things, "baking paper", "Parchment baking paper", "siliconized baking paper" yada yada.

I don't know if those are all the same, but I am sure there are a few varieties, coated or not. I would personally stay away from anything waxed. Even if it is microwave safe.

I know what you're talking about, it's called Logan Wrap.

And the wax is no problem.

Man does not live by bread alone.  There's also tomato, cheese and pepperoni.
