I spent some time seasoning My bright shiny American Metalcraft Sicilian pizza pan. I think The first couple of applications were too heavy. That being said the coating has hardened to a shiny lacquer-like finish. I still have a brand spanking new imported blue steel pan to season. Lessons learned will make for a better smoother finish on that one.
I also decided it was about time to clean my oven again. If I do it every couple of months I can use the self-clean cycle without any pre-cleaning or smoking out of the building.
