When I first built it but I since changed it and works very well now.  Closed off the top then cut the air vent in front.

Or has the roccbox/ Ooni  ovens put an end to DIY builds??

Yup! Speaking from experience, it was a really fun project, and don’t regret the time and money spent on it.  However, knowing what I know now I would just get a cheap Baking steel and save up for a real oven.  I moved on to an Uuni Pro ( now Ooni) after 3 years. Now after almost 4 years with the Pro, I am stepping up to a Gozney Dome.

I sure do.  I like it because I can make a 18 inch pizza for NY Style.  I like eating big pizza slices.

I went from 16" down to 14" just so I wouldn't eat so much.   :-D

I love mine. I need to work out a hot spot, but I still use it

No, took my LBE’d Weber to the dump about a year ago…

Got the Roccbox, and have never looked back. The Roccbox is everything we were dreaming of when making and using our LBE’s, but never quite got, but it was fun experimenting at the time…!
