What can you get 00 for without having to buy a lot? (under 25 pounds AND Delivered)

I don't have enough to make a batch so I either must suck it up and buy 1 retail bag or 2, or buy 5 or 10 kilos, at 10 cents per ounce.

Anybody find any deals?

Thanks.

I'm in Buffalo. I have never heard of Coles. I bought some Anna after reading so many reviews on Amazon from people that had bugs in their Caputo red... The Anna had a 1-time checkbox to get 40% off their 11lb bag (came to ~$15 and free delivery) and someone asked if the Anna had bugs and everyone either said no bugs like the case of Caputo, nor did anybody mention bugs in the reviews I read for Anna (Cento.) So I wonder if the case of Caputo was around $35 because of bugs?!

Coles is a major Australian supermarket chain.
Which is why I asked your location - I thought surely you'd be able to get it as cheap or cheaper in the northern hemisphere.

I've been using Anna for years because my local grocery store stocked it and never found any bugs. They ran out during the pandemic so I ordered the 11 lb bags from Amazon and they were equally bug-free. It's back in stock at the grocery store but I'm still working on the last batch I got from Amazon. Interestingly, the grocery store has moved it from the flour section and put it in a new little Italian section in the aisle with ethnic foods.

I buy Caputo or 5Staginoi at the will-call dock of a local foodservice distributor for about $0.05/oz.

That's good to hear because I signed up for Amazon's Subscribe & Save to get the 11lb bag, one time only, for $14.xx. In 3 months, I'll have to pay regular price, or skip the order if I'm not done with this bag... also, no bugs. I wonder if the Caputo with the bugs are being sold for ~$35/case of 10 for that reason...

In what quantity?
Thanks.

I'd guess 55lbs as that's what my local food distributors carry for Caputo. You could also try General Mills Di Prim'Ordine Farina, that comes in 27.5lb bags if you are trying not to stack too much flour up, I haven't checked who has that yet. I believe Restaurant Depot has a house brand 00 flour as well, in the Albany area RD is open to the public still -- not sure about the one closest to you.

Caputo is $68 for 25kg on amazon. Around 8c per oz but not bad considering caputo is a more expensive flour. Comparitively I have to drive 1 hr each way during work hours to pickup caputo from a distributor near me. Not worth it

i signed up for the 1 month free trial of webstaurant store and I think it was a litle cheaper than amazon but not much. Maybe less than $5.

Do you have Chefs Store near you?

I've not used it but price is good.

I've got this same flour and so far I like it.  Home oven so far, my WFO build is still in progress. X

There are some posts on that flour mentioning that it browns an even color at high heat and has a different taste. Have not tried it.

I pay $54 and change for a 25K/55lb bag of Caputo American from a local restaurant supply store (@$0.06/ounce). I just sub package it and keep it in a chest freezer.
