Calzone filling Sausage

When I use sausage as a topping on pizza I place it on raw and cook in my deck oven 10 minutes at 700 degrees and it’s fine.   What about a calzone does the sausage need to be cooked first.  Should  I use the same oven temp. Thanks Dave.

I can't comment on the temp, but i would use cooked sausage just for the sake of puddle of grease inside the calzone if using raw. Plus, at 700F, the outside will be burnt to a crisp before the raw sausage reaches safe cooked temp. Your looking at around 20 min minimum in a 450F oven.
