Whether itís one you made or one you have at a restaurant, do you use a knife & fork?  That IS how itís offically eaten in Italy (the birthplace).

I believe using a knife and fork is a modern yuppie way to eat pizza in Naples. It started as street food and was often eaten folded like a wallet a.k.a "libretto."

I like eating with my hands myself, but what my guests do, or anybody else for that matter, is perfect too. I usually grab some forks and knives and place them in a cup in the center of the table. Whoever likes to use them just help themselves.

But that's the best part!

Well maybe not literally the best best, but a great part of the experience is smelling the glove.

More than once I find myself on the other side of the fence and while I'm no yuppie by far I do seem to have developed yuppie eating habits :-D

But whatever, it doesnt matter really as long as you simply enjoy the stuff your producing and while having said that, with the next pie allready developing its flavors in the fridge, cheers!

I worry about ď fork in the mouth!Ē
Pizza here is eaten without utensils, the pizza held sideways for evaluation, muttered about then consumed. At times the tip is flopped over, but generally it is look, grab, look, consume . . . .
