D'amato's Chicago Square?
« on: September 28, 2017, 09:20:04 PM »
Hi,
has anyone tried to recreate the square Sicilian style pizza that D'amato's Bakery in Chicago does?

Thanks!

These guys are known for their deli sandwiches and also bread.  They sell their bread all over Chicago and into the suburbs 20-30 miles outside of the city.  Breads, especially the italian is simply amazing.  At the deli (and grocery store) next door to the bakery you wait in line to order and get your stuff, no tables you have to take your sandwich next door to the bakery for any tables, mostly outside as inside is full.  So, really amazing bread.  The pizza to me is standard fare, as is the sandwich itself.
