Thanks for the link, Craig.  I think I read that one when you posted it.  Might have to give it a go sometime.

Aside from clementines and the occasional ice cream cone, I'm not a big fan of sweets.  However... I made this for my son today and I've had more than a couple bites.  I'm not sure if it's supposed to be (the picture on the box says no), but it's really gooey on the bottom and has a fair amount of walnuts.

I pulled the second log of "World Peace Cookie" dough out of the freezer and made another batch.  https://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=44388.msg472800#msg472800

Cinnamon rolls with walnuts and maple glaze.  Got inspired a couple of weeks back by Ryan, finally decided to give it a shot.

A few traditional Vietnamese desserts.  Sweet mung bean  dumplings in ginger syrup with coconut milk and fried sesame seed balls.

My wife and son made these today and I like them.

I'm not surprised.  We've got all the Moosewood cookbooks and I've never come across a dud.

French toast for breakfast yesterday.

Homemade french bread, sliced thick and dried a bit in a warm oven, dipped in basically liquid french vanilla ice cream, fried in good butter, and served with blueberry-jalapeno syrup (blueberries, sugar, butter, and just a tiny bit of finely diced jalapeno - just enough to let you know there is something there but not hit you in the face).

Strawberry margarita syrup this time (yes, you should come to my Sunday school class...)

Was craving rice krispy treats but didn't have any snap or crackle, but I had pop, so I improvised. I adapted and overcame.  ;D

Try rice crispy treats with corn pops cereal. Way better. I used to make them out of Cap'n crunch too back when I used to smoke down but that one's way too sweet now. But corn pops treats are awesome and not overly sweet.

I tried corn pops this weekend and didn't like it. Was really tough. I'm trying vanilla rice chex next.

Admittedly the last time I made them a few months ago they were tough as well actually, but I thought it was a fluke because they didn't use to be like that when I used to make them and I don't recall what I did differently. Back then though I was usually pretty stoned so I probably used twice the amount of butter and packed them very loose idk, doesn't matter now. Cool thing is you can make these w/ any cereal and actually I think I'm gonna get some Apple Jacks tonight, that sounds good. Let us know how the rice cheese come out.

I tried the blueberry chex tonight and it came out really good. Nice and crunchy and light, even more so than rice crispies. I added a tsp each of vanilla and hazelnut extract to the 10oz bag of marshmallows, half stick of butter and 8 cups of blueberry chex, which was the whole 12oz box.

The vanilla rice chex came out great if not just a bit on the sweet side. There wasn't' much left to take a picture of this morning  ;D
