Not much info given, but it appears to vent from the rear upper section of the oven, it does not appear to be insulated, and it is from China.  While being from China is not inherently bad, it does allow for the possibility of being constructed from materials that are not acceptable in other parts of the world.

In other words, no, it is not worth 200 bucks, much less 8.

I would not immediately discount it because it was made in China. The Blackstone is made in China, as are most other products sold in the United States.  It is not Neapolitan style, it is more of a traditional WFO.

If the chimney comes straight out of the top of the dome like it looks in the pictures, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' peel.

I am leery of anything made in China using natural materials, they do not have as much regulation as we do, and this will have raw food touching the floor.

$800 plus tax buys a lot of material towards building your own oven.

Picked ours up Wednesday. I have been a Big Green Egg fan for years and have pretty much mastered most cooking on it so it was time to try a new technique. Biggest issue that I have had so far is the total lack of basic cooking instructions. You would think for $800+ that it would tell you something other than heat to 700 degrees place pizza in oven and rotate after one minute. All of you pros on here will love this.
It has a temperature gauge in the center-top of the dome. My son in law and I built a fire in the back, waited for the dome temp to reach 700 and put the pizza in!!!! It was hilarious the next day when I found this forum and read how this is supposed to work!!LOL
We tried it again last night with a few smaller pizzas using a IR thermometer. It was WAAAAY better!!Definitely a learning process as was the big Green Egg. I will be studying this site regularly!!!

I bought this oven and couldn't be happier.  Pizza come out wonderful.  Temp reached 900 degrees and stayed on for hours at varying tempatures.  I have read post about vent in middle/rear and i understand concept but this works great. I can bake, roast and smoke in this baby.   I think this is due to the vent on top of the flue.  We have thoroughly enjoyed this pizza oven and especially the price.  It seems to do all that any other pizza oven can do and at a great price.

Have been trying to stay quiet when I see things like that but I have to say; I am simply amazed how little people are willing to accept / expect from a "wood fired pizza oven"  ???

Make it cheap and we will like it  :'(

It does work wonderfully .  Come on people! Most of us don't have the time to create s huge extravagant oven.  Plus this one will not break you on fueling it like some monstrosities I have been around.  Lot of people like myself will fire this up to cook a couple of pizzas maybe some cookies.  This is a deal as far as I am concerned.
Couple of pics of my quick pizza and cookies last night.

Sorry to step in, but do you have any photos of pizza?  I'm sure the people here will be more interested to see photos of pizza than cookies.
The USA, Myanmar, and Liberia are the three remaining countries in the world who do not use the metric system.  That's some fine company to keep!!
