So i keep reading on here that a hobart 410 is the way to go and that they can be found pretty cheap. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find one online that isn't ebay? I keep looking on there & everyone i see is selling for around $400 but i've read on here that people have found them for closer to 100.

In the meantime, what's a half decent home option that isn't terribly expensive? I just ordered a cuisimax (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RNB6B1K/?tag=pmak-20) b/c it was on sale for $80 but if there's a model that the majority of people on here suggest for around that price, i'll change my order.

I got one of these brand new in 2014. It has served me flawlessly. Sharpened it once with the attached sharpener. Quiet, efficient, highly recommended.

7-years is a real good amount of time. So as someone that knows very very little about slicers - what separates something like a hobart from this b/c it looks like this would be great.

If you find a nice hobart 410 in great condition it will last forever and you can sell it for what you paid for it or more!!!  I bought mine from the original owner.  She said she bought it in 1944 and it still runs like beast!!!!
