Looking for 60 Quart Mixer wired for 240v
« on: June 08, 2021, 01:31:52 PM »
Can anyone recommend a commercial dough mixer in the 60 quart range that runs on 120/240v?  We are wired for 1 or 3 phase electricity, but most modern mixers seem to run on 208v. We will be using the mixer to make wood-fired pizza.

Best,

Brad

I believe the Sunmix mixers will fit your requirement.  Ask for Pasquale.

Are you using the mixer for anything else besides dough?

If you go planetary go older hobart with 2-hp.  The new ones have digital screens and cost a lot and break a lot.  We use a 35 year old hobart 60qt 2hp and it works flawlessly.  Beware of used restaurant supply places.  They like to claim "rebuilt" but are often just repainted  junk.  The new ones made in China are garbage as well.
