There are now at least a couple of pizza restaurants/groups using Ezzo pepperoni in Toronto:

Maker (2 locations)
Pizza Libretto (5 locations)
Blondies

My question is: is there a local wholesaler or retailer where you can purchase the pepperoni anywhere in the province?

Replying to myself....

Found the local supplier. They don't sell to the public but were willing to make an exception.

The only issue was minimum order was 25lbs. I thought about it knowing I'd have to freeze most (I have a vacuum sealer and lots of freezer space) but in the end for a home cook doing five pies a week that seemed like too much at once.

If you live within the city, try visiting Tony's Cheese stand at the Brick-Works farmer's market on Saturdays. He also carries other pizza provisions that might be of interest to you.

Otherwise, Jesse Tree Fine Foods in Bolton will sell you some smaller quantities of the Ezzo Pepperoni. They also have Bianco di Napoli tomatoes, fior di latte, olive oils etc.

HAHA, funny to see this thread.... Tony is one of the only people I know who imports the stuff... we've talked before, but unfortunately, I can't get it shipped out east unless I was going to be buying a serious amount. Oh well.

Have you found good pepperonis in toronto that curl up? The makers ones are pretty good. If so, please tell me which kind. Im very familiar with Tony, so if you know which one of his are good?

Any of you GTA guys have any ezzo left you are looking to unload. I am interested. PM me. Or if there are enough people interested we could all split an order if the supplier is still willing to sell to the public.

Out of curiosity can anyone share how much a 25lb quantity costs from the supplier in question. You can pm me if you don't want to post publicly.

Another source for small quantities is Alimentari Italian Grocery on Roncesvalles. They charge about $5 per 100g if I recall correctly.

I typically use Venitian meats which cups and taste amazing how does the Ezzo compare and I'm in if their is any future splits I'm in East Brampton.

The 38mm Ezzo curls nicely, the 51mm not so much.

An option for buying might be to just ask one of the restaurants if they would sell you a few pounds.
