Fully made pizza in the fridge.

Hello everyone.
Hope you are well and enjoying the weekend especially fellow Brits enjoying the Jubilee 

I am going out tonight and can't really be bothered dressing the pizza when I get home so I was wondering if many of you fully make the pizza complete with sauce, cheese and toppings and just put it in the fridge so all you have to do is bang it in the oven? My guess is that it will not be as good as freshly made but do you think it will still be ok? Anyone do this?

Yes I figured that. I am still going to do it but in all honesty I am expecting inferior results. I was just hoping there might be someone out there that has done this and could give me a few pointers on it.

You could bake it now and reheat it this evening when you return. Reheated pizza can be a real treat. There are all kinds of ways to reheat, depending on the style of pizza and your tastes. Microwaving is an affront to the pizza gods.

I agree with bill. If I absolutely HAD to top before baking with more than 10 min of it sitting like that I would do an "upside down" pizza with the cheese down first and then sauce on top of that.   That way your sauce wont over hydrate the dough and cause an uncooked gum layer as easily.

+1 on the reheat.
Leaving a loaded pizza uncooked for any length of time will let the sauce soak into the dough.

If you must you could lay sliced cheese down first to prevent sauce intrusion.

Good advice has been offered. OTOH, it’s pretty easy to dress a pizza in less time than it takes to preheat your oven. Otherwise, pre-bake and reheat is my favorite solution too.
