RANCH RANCH RANCH!
« on: April 28, 2021, 10:31:23 AM »
Ranch haters need not apply.  :)

Just looking for some EPIC ranch recipes out there.  I've tried a few on my own, but looking for more of a mix.  Thanks!

Have you tried the Hidden Valley dry powder mix from Costco? Add to mayo, yogurt, sour cream or any mix or blend you like, not bad!

Isn't that the standard by which all other Ranch dressings are judged by?

The dry mix is easy to tailor to your own tastes, I would rather use it than bottled ranch, most of which I don't like much.

The bottled ranch is nasty. Hidden Valley powdered-mix is where it's at. That MSG goodness.

Im 95% sure the best ranch I ever had was just mayo, lemon juice, salt and pepper, onion and garlic powder, celery seed, thyme, and oregano. Maybe Im leaving something out but it was pretty simple. Wish I had kept that recipe!

We have a few friends who are big ranch fans, when they are coming over for pizza I mix up a jar of this recipe below.  Have made it a few timed and always gets rave reviews.

I personally can only tolerate the Bottled hidden valley buttermilk ranch.

The $.99 cent bottled Kroger brand is nice. :)
It's an Earth food. They are called Swedish meatballs. It's a strange thing, but every sentient race has its own version of these Swedish meatballs! I suspect it's one of those great universal mysteries which will either never be explained, or which would drive you mad if you ever learned the truth.

MSG.

In this case, no.

And a little dill weed....

Thats my preference, but it wasnt an ingredient in this recipe. I even double checked. Surprised me!

My earliest memories of salad dressing was when my mom would make red wine vinegar and oil. :) And she served the salad with spaghetti and garlic bread. :)
