Cuban Bread Recipe ?

Anyone have a Cuban Bread recipe?
I used to able to get Portuguese Bread as a good substitute at Wally World, but they don't seem to carry is any more.

This is my current go-to. Can't vouch for authenticity since it's been many years since I ate a real cubano, but with the traditional fillings, it sure is great eating. I've been using All-Trumps Bleached and Bromated flour in a very highly developed dough.

3/4c milk
1/8c honey
2T melted butter
50g starter
1t kosher salt

Making the sandwiches is a bit of work with the marinating the pork and all, but they sure are good.

Not really. Knead till full gluten development. Fermenting/proofing 12-24hr @~62F.

The fat in traditional Cuban bread is lard and generally plain white sugar.

I use your recipe and swap out those two and see what happens.  Ive always wanted to try it myself, maybe this is the inspiration.

A good cuban sandwich is in my top 3 favorites.

Bill,
I was going to make these tomorrow, then realized you have 50 g of Starter in the recipe.
Are we talking Sourdough Starter here, or something you made the day before and proofed overnight?
I'll PM you in case you don't see this.
