Except you’re wrong, as usual. And of course you’re a dick about it. Both pork rinds and the crispy bits of fat leftover when rendering lard are called cracklings.
Cracklings, also known as scratchings, are the solid material which remains after rendering animal fat and skinPig skin made into crackings are a popular ingredient worldwide: in Central European, Quebecois (cretons), Latin American (chicharrones), East Asian, Southeast Asian, Southern United States, and Cajun cuisines. They are often eaten as snacks. In Hungary, they are popular as a breakfast or dinner food.[4]
Hate to keep stirring this pot (of cracklings) but Wikipedia is your friend.
Here in South Texas anyway, we call fried pork skin "chicharrones," or "pork rinds." If they also have some fat attached, we call them "cracklins."
this morning one of my friends sent a text to our group:start a fight in 5 words or lest (no politics).entry #1: start trek> star warsmy entry: cracklings: pig skin or fat
Chicago Style deep dish - pizza or casserole?
supposed to be five words or less but game on:is pizza bread?
That one is a bit different. It's more philosophical. It speaks more to your approach to pizza than the literal meaning of the words. If you think the answer is yes, you almost certainly also wonder why you can't make a great pizza - that or you've never had a great pizza and thus have no point of reference.
You're totally wrong and I disagree! 🤔
I see you've been talking to my wife.
