Spring 2021 NYC Neapolitan/WFO
« on: May 21, 2021, 12:42:05 PM »
Iíll be in the city for a few days next week, looking to expand on the NP spots Iíve visited so far and thought Iíd ask for recommendations that might not be on my list yet.

In the past Iíve tried:  San Matteo, Robertaís, Keste, Motorino, UPN, Ribalta, and Song EíNapule.

The plan so far is to revisit Song and get a takeout pie from Razza across the way. I can probably squeeze in one or two more spots though.

Any ideas? Ops, maybe? Iím in the market for sublime marinaras and margheritas. Whoís doing it right?

Ops is my favorite (and such great wine).

Wheated maybe? UPN always worth revisiting. And Pasquale Jones.

Appreciate the shout out for Wheated but we are not WFO or Neapolitan. During COVID, we moved even further away from Neapolitan with larger pies, lower cooking temp, and longer cook times.

Paulie Gee's & Ops are not that far from each other.

Thanks for jumping in about Wheated, I had the same thoughts checking yíall out. But Iíd still probably be swinging by if I could eat a 16Ē pie by myself or if I had an extra day, or if you sold by the slice! Pizza looks fantastic. Iíll be back in the fall or winter and Iíll bring friends  ;D

Ops was a good hunch and I donít know why I hadnít been before. Thanks!

Ah! It's been a while - I'll try to come by next time I'm in the city.
