Considering a Fontana Piero combi wood/gas
« on: August 24, 2021, 01:09:20 PM »
Hello everyone -

I have been researching pizza ovens and came across a very attractive smaller oven which is billed as an "everyday" model as it can run on gas or wood.  It looks to be a good size for my garden and I read good things about Fontana - but no reviews online that I can find (maybe too new?) - does anyone have experience with this oven or an opinion before I slap down the cash?

Here is the link https://www.fontanaforni.co.uk/product/piero-gas-fired-pizza-oven/

Many thanks in advance for your opinions!

Frank

I owned the Fontana Forni Marinara ( wood only ) version for a while.  They are very well made ovens and can produce great pies!  They heat up fast, hold heat reasonably well for what it is, and is very easy to move around if you have to.  I sold mine because I want a refractory oven.  I don't have any experience with their gas burners, but judging by everything else I'm sure you won't have a problem,
