Not surprised at all it was a quick case, but it is odd they'd feel strongly enough to sue and not bring any meaningful evidence. No pictures, air quality report tests, etc... makes you think there was none to be collected. Hopefully they don't just file another suit to waste their time now that this ones over.
Some neighbors can be awful that way.
There was an ongoing saga about a double amputee veteran who was the only resident on a rural route when he inherited some money and used it to build a 3-bay auto service garage that he uses to work on his own trucks, lets his friends work on their trucks, do free repairs for other vets, etc. No money changes hands. It's just a disabled vet hanging with his friends and fixing cars.
Then rich people built houses down the road and just could not stand it.
They had the city out on complaints dozens of times and filed multiple civil suits until a judge dismissed the last one with prejudice.
