50 Kalò - Napoli

Perhaps my expectations were too high, especially the night after Salvo.

The pizza was very good and would love to be able to have it on a regular basis, but given all the press, awards and online reviews maybe I was expecting more.

The dough wasn’t as light as Salvo and seemed to lack salt in taste.

Our plan to arrive early worked.  Walked right in at 7:30pm, the dining room was about half capacity. Just one hour later, the wait outside was 90 minutes (see last pic)

With Salvo just down the street, I probably wouldn’t wait if I were to return.

The dough is a little too fermented.  Ill bet it would have been light had it been used sooner.  What time of day did you go?
