I've never been to Forno, and don't plan on it. They are in no way a snooty, upscale restaurant. The menu is pedestrian "Italian " food.

In one of my earliest posts, about 3 years ago, I defined "a joint". It goes back to my youth in the 60's. A joint is like Difara in Brooklyn. It's a brick structure, with a center door, with store-front windows on either side. Inside there's the owners, their oven, with a few tables, and a Coke sign!
In my mind's eye, when I don't see that, it's "up-scale".
