Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and figured I'd post some of the pizza's I had during my trip this past August throughout Basilicata and Puglia. I mostly tried to eat unique pizza's when I had the chance.
Basilicata - Genzano di Lucania (PZ)- Local restaurant that offered pizzas
Pizza bianca with potato, spicy local sausage and pepperoni cruschi (local specialty in Basilicata/Puglia)
Puglia - Cisternino (BR) - Pizzeria Doppio Zero - went here twice since the first time was a positive experience
1st Visit
Pizza bianca with cherry tomatoes and zucchini flowers and ricotta stuffed crust - this pizza was absolutely amazing
2nd Visit
Pizza with anchovies and capers
Basilicata and Puglia are not really known for pizza but these first two pizzas were some rather unique offerings I haven't really found elsewhere and figured I'd share.
